A Day in Walnut, Iowa

“Iowa’s Antique City”

On Wednesday, we’ll take a short drive together into the countryside to visit the charming town of Walnut, affectionately known as “Antique City.”

For decades, this small Midwestern town has been a destination for collectors, designers, and treasure hunters alike. With more than a dozen antique shops lining its historic streets, every storefront holds the possibility of discovering something special. Hand-carved furniture, vintage linens, old books, ironstone dishes, architectural salvage, and forgotten heirlooms waiting to be brought back to life.

The most exciting part is that they will be ramping up for their annual antique show that will be taking place the following weekend.

Together we’ll spend the day exploring the antique stores, enjoying lunch in town, and taking our time discovering the stories hidden in these beautiful old things.

Whether you’re searching for something specific or simply love the thrill of finding a piece that feels meant for you, Walnut is one of those places where the hunt is half the joy.

Bring a tote bag… you never know what treasures you might find.
